Camp Baby Jimmy

For the past five.....well more like four and one fifth days, I have been staying in Atlanta with my cousin ,Jimmy. We did all kinds of crazy stuff like skeet shooting and eating duck liver. But, I want to give you, the reader..... or readers, a chance to get to hear every thing about my riot of a trip. Now, what you are about to feast your eyes on is my personal log book of CBJ(Camp Baby Jimmy). I hope you feel like you your self are traveling on the highways of Atlanta with Jimmy and I, in the back seat of the Black Stallion.(will be explained on Day 1)

Day 0.5 The Arrival By: Thomas Slocumb July\5\09

Today, I arrived at "The Dude Ranch", the base for our camp, and my home for the next four and one fifth days. I walked through the white, wooden front door of the ranch only to realize that my camp leader, Jimmy, was nowhere to be found. It was a great let-down. But, then Seth, my other cousin and Jimmy's roomate, walks up to me and tells me that Jimmy isn't home from the beach yet. Figures......
Later on that night, aroung 8:15, Seth and his girlfreind decide they are hungry and take me to the OK Cafe . We walk into the diner and sit down in the waiting room for what seems like hours , before finally we are called to our table by an anorexic African American woman.

Once we were sitting comfortably in our booth, our orders were taken. Even after the decision of of what we would have for dinner, Jimmy had still not arrived.

"Where could he be?" I thought to my self.

I waited and waited as our fattening meals were prepared in the kithchen. No Jimmy. Soon enough, or dinner was brought to the table by a hispanic waitress called, "Lissa". She sat our food down and sauntered off into the kitchen. I grasped my fork, and just as its prongs hit the crust of my country fried stake, Jimmy and his girlfreind, Tyler sprang through the cafe doors. That is when the laughter began.

" Camp Baby Jimmy has officially begun!" Jimmy anounced after he had said his hellos.

After more long conversations, we ended up on the topic of Serebal Palsy.

" I know a guy with Serebal Palsy." I say to Tyler, after Jimmy tells a hillarious story about His freind, which i'm sure is on his blog.

Jimmy looks away for a second, just barely toning out Tyler and My conversation. Remember, he is a Slocumb, he has selective hearing.

" Oh yeah? Is he a freind of yours?" she asked me.

Jimmy turns around with a confused look on his face. He mis-understood what Tyler said. He took "freind of yours" as "New Years"

"What!" he exclaims, " Tyler, don't be silly, no one gets Serebal Palsy for New Years! Are you Okay?"

Tyler looks at him like he is a complete idiot.

" Jimmy", she says sarcastically, " I said, " Is he a freind of yours", not "he got it for New Years".

Jimmy is still confused.

" Oh.....okay."he replys

Later, we leave the resturuant and drive to "The Dude Ranch" in Tyler's BMW. When we got home, Jimmy and I watched a movie. I would say wich one but, my mom might read this blog. But, i can say it was hillarious!
After the movie ended, Jimmy read me an old book called "the Old Man and the Boy". I listened to him read as i lay tired in my sleeping bag on the couch. I drifted in to sleep before the first chapter was over. Day 0.5 was a great success
